Do I need a headset?
Section titled “Do I need a headset?”No. On a desktop or a phone the wall opens in the page as a magic window. You drag to look around and click to open an item.
Which headsets work?
Section titled “Which headsets work?”Any browser with WebXR immersive-vr. The wall has input profiles for Meta Quest, Pico, Android XR and visionOS, plus
desktop and phone.
Does Diazoma copy or host my content?
Section titled “Does Diazoma copy or host my content?”No. The wall runs in the visitor’s browser and reads your pages or your feed from there. See Security and privacy.
Can my site say no?
Section titled “Can my site say no?”Yes. Put "policy": "deny" in /.well-known/wall.json.
How much work is it for my site?
Section titled “How much work is it for my site?”Level 1 is attributes on your existing listing and takes about ten minutes for a front-end developer. Level 2 is a JSON feed
and takes about fifteen minutes for a back-end developer. Every field beyond id, link, image and aspect is optional.
My site has a lot of pictures. Will it be slow?
Section titled “My site has a lot of pictures. Will it be slow?”The wall draws each card at about 512 px. Send smaller copies in image, image_focus and image_full, or let the wall
find them. See Image sizes.
I do not control the site. Can I still make a wall?
Section titled “I do not control the site. Can I still make a wall?”Yes, with a recipe: a small JSON file that says where the items are. The browser extension that runs recipes on any site is in development.
What is the difference between a recipe and a manifest?
Section titled “What is the difference between a recipe and a manifest?”A manifest is published by the site itself and points to a feed. A recipe describes how to read a site that does not publish anything.
Is it open source?
Section titled “Is it open source?”The code and the JSON Schemas are Apache-2.0. The text of the spec is CC-BY-4.0. The WordPress plugin is GPL-2.0-or-later.
